They are being encouraged to tell people with a positive Covid-19 test to isolate pets

There is a chance the virus could be spread from human-to-human through the animal's fur.

The Veterinary Council want those concerned to know the difference between contaminated pets rather than infected, as it is not proven that cats and dogs and get coronavirus.
