Around 30-40 staff will be employed at the Cork Covid-19 drive through test centre that has been opened at Cork Airport.
Irish healthcare company RocDoc launched the testing system as part of the EU 'traffic light' system which will allow passengers to avail of pre-flight swabs.
Concerns have been expressed about the capacity at the centre with the Minister for International Transport warning capacity may not meet demand when there is a larger return to international travel.
However the laboratory on site at Cork Airport will be three times the required capacity.
