New financial supports for the hospitality and live events sectors will be announced later today.
They'll be targeted at businesses who've been impacted by the latest Covid restrictions.
Nightclubs are closed until January 9th, and indoor events are capped at 50 per cent capacity.
Public Expenditure Minister, Michael McGrath, says the extra supports are needed for struggling businesses.
"We're really conscious that the impact the latest restrictions are having in relation to the events sector and with live performances with a restriction on capacity of 50%.
"We've already had a number of successful rounds of the live performance support scheme, which is there to support venues and make sure it is viable to hold events.
"We really do want to see them continue."
