The North's first minister says the closure of schools will have a long-term impact on children's education.
All schools in Northern Ireland will shut from Monday because of the coronavirus crisis.
Arlene Foster made the announcement after it was announced that schools in England, Scotland and Wales will close tomorrow.
The first minister says teaching shouldn't end just because the North's schools are closed.
"In terms of the education of our children we very firmly believe that should not cease.
"I know that some teachers have been working very hard, and this an opportunity now to put in remote learning, or create packs."
