Online shopping has become more expensive during the lockdown.

Prices have gone up by up to 40 per cent on some websites, according to a leading expert.

Tech, household items and fitness equipment have seen the biggest increases.

Technology Editor with the Irish Independent, Adrian Weckler, says people are paying above the odds for items that will help them work from home.

"If you were looking for a midrange laptop, or a webcam, anything that make your work from home experience a little bit better, you will either struggle to get it, or you will notice that prices have gone up by 20-40%, depending on what shop you try."
