People are being asked to log litter they see in waterways near their homes as part of a new citizen science project from the DCU Water Institute.
As part of the 5KLitterSnap the institute is people to take photos with their phone of any waterway littering and complete a short questionnaire.
The data will be placed on a live central litter map to indicate litter hotspots.
