People expected to be asked to wear facemasks as restrictions lifted

It's expected people will be asked to wear facemasks as some measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID 19 are lifted.

Health officials are meeting to consider advising people to wear them when social distancing is not possible.

However the use of facemasks won't be mandatory.

Meanwhile, the Health Minister Simon Harris says he is ‘very hopeful’ some restrictions will begin to be eased next week as planned.
