Phil Hogan says he was "no risk to anyone" as he speaks out about Oireachtas Golf Society dinner

Phil Hogan says he was "no risk to anyone" and doesn't accept he was supposed to be in quarantine in the days leading up to the Oireachtas Golf Society dinner.

The EU Trade Commissioner's published the timeline of his movements he's given to the Commission President Ursula Von Der Leyen.

He says since he tested negative for Covid-19 at a medical appointment on his fifth day back, he was allowed to leave quarantine early.

The HSE says he wasn't -- but in an interview with RTÉ this evening, Mr Hogan insisted the quarantine rule no longer applied to him:
