The HSE's Chief Clinical Officer says processes are in place to quickly deliver personal protective equipment to frontline staff.
It follows the arrival of millions of euro worth of PPE into Ireland from China in recent days.
Dr. Colm Henry says it'll be available very soon across all healthcare settings.
"We're replenishing our depleted supplies.
"We have a process put in pace so we can deliver those supplies to the healthcare settings most in need, regardless of whether they're int he hospital or community settings, and those that have the greatest number of patients and are running through their supplies."
