Publicans Across City And County Open For Business For First Time In Six Months

After a number of opening dates were deferred pubs, excluding those in the capital, can reopen today without the requirement to serve a meal.

The Cork branch of the Vintners Federation of Ireland say strict guidelines are in place but the set up won’t be much different to that in a gastro pub.

Speaking to RedFM News Michael O’Donovan of the Cork branch of the VFI and owner of the Castle Inn says while they should have been allowed reopen alongside the pubs that serve food, today is a big day for pubs in the city and in rural Cork and there’s a great atmosphere:
