Publicans say they're hopeful the planned lifting of restrictions on the pubs and nightclubs won't be postponed next month.
October 22nd is the date given by government in its new roadmap.
However the easing of rules will be subject to a review the week beforehand.
Donal O'Keeffe from the Licensed Vintners Association is optimistic pubs and clubs will get the green light.
"We've a lot of bitter experience in the pub sector about dates being missed.
"That said, the vaccine rollout is an extraordinary success and we're well on the way to having 90% of the population being vaccinated.
"So we are hopeful that the 22nd of October will stick."
