They say they are among the worst hit since the outbreak of Covid-19
The doors remain shut on pubs across the country after their reopening date was pushed back earlier this month - a decision on their future is expected on August 31st.
However publicans over 66 years of age, who are not entitled to the pandemic unemployment payment, say they've have been left without any support and have had to endure five months of commercial bills with no income and no wage support.
The VFI say the 16 million euro support package being offered to publicans is simply 'crumbs from the table'
