Publicans Say They Will Continue To Lobby For Financial Supports From The Government

The Chairman of the Cork City Vintners Federation and the owner of the Castle Inn Michael O'Donovan says the Level 3 lockdown will mean incalculable damage to the hospitality sector as many publicans have been shut without income for over six months and are facing a tough and slow recovery

Warnings have already been issued that up to 114,000 jobs in accommodation and food services could be lost by the end of the year

They're calling for urgent financial supports to help them to survive as they say it will be extremely difficult to operate an outdoor service in the month of October

Speaking to RedFM News Michael O'Donovan says the Government needs to put meaningful supports in place for the industry in next week's budget
