This comes after Ryanair announced the closure of it's base at the airport for the winter with concerns raised that this may not be a temporary measure by the budget airline.
Ryanair is Cork Airport's biggest customer so the news came as a devastating blow.
Cork Chamber says it's now imperative that the Government step in and offer financial support to the Airport and immediately implement travel testing at the country's airports without delay.
