Young people struggling to get a booster's partly to blame for rising Covid case numbers in their age cohort, according to an immunology expert.
The Chief Medical Officer says the incidence rate among 16 to 34 year olds is the highest since the pandemic began.
Currently, those under 40 can only get a vaccine from their GP, but they've been asked to prioritise older people.
Professor of Immunovirology at UCC, Liam Fanning, says a booster should be available to all age groups now the majority of over 50s are done.
