Retail Sales Have Seen Their Sharpest Drop Since 2009

Sales in April were down 35% on March figures according to the CSO

Online sales represented 15.5 per cent of the total turnover for all businesses, which is the highest online share since records began.

The only rise was recorded in the food, beverages, and tobacco sector which increased by just under 2 per cent.
