Ryanair Insists Threat To Close Its Bases At Cork And Shannon Airports Is Not A Bluff

The airline made the threat earlier this week

Ryanair says it will close the bases for the winter season if the government fails to adopt the EU travel list later this month.

In the High Court yesterday, Ryanair lost its legal action against the State claiming its travel restrictions are unlawful.

The company claims Ireland has remained uniquely 'locked up' to travel within Europe since July 1st.

Ryanair CEO Eddie Wilson says the government must adopt the EU's new traffic light system or else its Cork and Shannon bases will close from October 26th:
