"We are sleep walking into oblivion" - That's the message from Ryanair's Chief Executive Officer who says unless travel restrictions are eased the airline will have no choice but to close its Cork and Shannon base.
He made the comments at a crisis meeting held at Cork Airport this morning with Cork members of the Oireachtas, where calls were made for an enhanced contact tracing system to be implemented at airports and the non-essential travel message to be weakened.
