President of Cork Chamber Paul Cogan has described Ryanair's decision to ground it's flight out of Cork for four weeks as 'soul destroying'.

Paula Cogan says the airline's announcement will have a deep impact on tourism, hospitality, arts and aviation across Cork and the wider region.

Ryanair confirmed yesterday that they are grounding flights at Cork Airport from November 14th until December 12th, with operations to resume on December thirteenth.
