The Irish Times reports that the "pods" are among measures being examined by the Department of Education.
They're attempting to get as many students back into the classroom as possible., discussions are ongoing about having up to four 'pods' of 16 students in attendance.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar confirmed yesterday that schools are set to re-open at the beginning of the autumn term.
