Skibbereen's Ludgate Hub leads the way as template for remote working in post COVID19 workplace environment

A rural digital hub innovation officer has been appointed by Cork County Council to assist communities in the development of 22 hotdesk-type centres in the county.

It's hoped the move will be a stepping stone in replicating the success of Skibbereen's Ludgate Hub which, to date, has created 130 direct and indirect jobs.

The facility is on course to create 500 jobs over the next five years after bringing 1GB of connectivity to the West Cork town.
