SouthDoc has reportedly withdrawn temporary layoff notices given to 40 staff.
Employees at SouthDoc offices in Blackpool, Mallow, Macroom, Kanturk, Clonakilty and Skibbereen were handed temporary layoff notices on Thursday.
The service previously announced plans to consolidate it's service and say they were forced to keep some of their staff in reserve due to the Covid-19 crisis.
Cork Solidarity TD Mick Barry says SouthDoc management spoke to staff over the weekend and is calling for the 40 staff to be redeployed as a matter of urgency.
