Spending increases on groceries and fitness products

Irish consumers have been spending more on home fitness products, gaming and streaming services during the Covid-19 outbreak.

An analysis of debit card transactions by Bank of Ireland shows we're forking out 37 per cent more on groceries and there's been a jump of more than a quarter on streaming services.

While spend on air travel, passenger travel and accommodation has dropped by more than 80 per cent.
