Teachers may have to issue a predicted grade for Leaving Cert students under measures being considered by the Department of Education.
The exams are scheduled to start in late July, but are subject to public health advice.
The Education Minister is meeting with officials and teaching unions today to discuss all contingency options should it prove unsafe to hold the exams.
These teachers are uncomfortable with the idea of predicting their students grades.
