Taoiseach Has Unveiled The Living With Covid-19 Plan

The plan has three core pillars - protecting health, strengthening  employment and supporting communities

The Taoiseach has been addressing the nation outlining the Living with Covid-19 plan which will help to manage the virus and support employment and communities over the next six months

Micheal Martin says the new plan for living with Covid-19 has three core pillars - protecting health, strengthening  employment and supporting communities

He outlined how the Government will implement a widespread vaccination programme when a vaccine is found for Covid19 and he revealed that approval has been given for a €600 million winter-ready plan for the health services

Micheal Martin says the Government has decided that the current health guidelines, which are at Level 2, will continue for a three week period

Spectator sport is returning under the plan being announced at the moment with some small theatre and musical events also getting the green light.

The government is also adopting the European Commission's new traffic light system for foreign travel.

Speaking in the last few minutes the Taoiseach said we have overcome most bigger challenges in the past and we will overcome this challenge too
