The Taoiseach has outlined how a decision on eventually lifting Coronavirus restrictions will be made.
Leo Varadkar has told the Dáil there's still a long way to go before things can return to normal.
The easing of restrictions will happen in stages of 2-4 weeks to properly monitor any potential second surge of the virus.
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said there is light at the end of the tunnel as he outlined the criteria for lifting the lockdown.
"Our five criteria are as follows: the progress of the disease, healthcare capacity and resilience, testing and contact tracing capacity, the ability to shield and care for at risk groups, and the risk of secondary morbidity and mortality due to the restrictions themselves."
