The Taoiseach says the Government will accept the Chief Medical Officer's recommendation to stand down NPHET.
In a letter to the Health Minister, Tony Holohan suggested a smaller group be set up to continue to monitor the spread of Covid-19.
NPHET met yesterday, and for the first time members were not given a date for it's next gathering.
