Taoiseach says he doesn't have an indication of what NPHET could recommend after its meeting today

The Taoiseach says he doesn't have an indication of what the National Public Health Emergency Team could recommend after its meeting today.

The government rejected health officials' suggestions of a move to Level 5 restrictions earlier this week.

The Chief Medical Officer says he's "deeply concerned" about the spread of Covid 19 since NPHET last met on Sunday.

It comes as 506 new cases of COVID19 have been confirmed with 76 of those cases here in Cork.

Meanwhie The Health Protection Surveillance Centre has today been notified of 1 additional death related to COVID-19.
