Cork Beo reports how Julia Ryan sent a letter thanking Leo Varadkar for all the work he is doing at this time, and said that although she was disappointed that the schools had to close she understood why

After recovering from fracturing her spine last summer, Julia was only able to return to school at the start of February, so was disappointed to be separated from all her friends again so soon.

In response, the Taoiseach wrote to her thanking her for her letter and praising her positivity despite the restrictions

He added that he hopes she will get back to school soon and he asked her to say hello to her family from him
