The Taxi Council say their drivers are front line workers
They say they often have to bring people to medical appointments and hospitals and they have no way of knowing if a passenger is ill or who they have been in contact with.
The Council says their older members who are living with underlying conditions have been forced to walk away from the business due to the global pandemic.
