Taxi Drivers In Cork Seek A Meeting With The New Taoiseach Micheal Martin

Many older drivers who are living with underlying conditions have seen their livelihoods wiped out and say they will not be returning to the business due to the global pandemic

The National Transport Authority has come in for sharp criticism by taxi drivers across Cork who say they have not issued any clear guidelines with the only advice coming out of the office for drivers to wash their hands

Cork based spokesman for the Taxi Council Bobby Lynch says there is real fear among drivers in relation to the virus as he says they are on the front line carrying passengers to hospital and medical appointments and they have no way of knowing if a passenger is sick or where they have been
