Taxi company Free Now is calling on the government to make the wearing of a face covering mandatory in cabs after taxi drivers complain that some passengers have been spitting and coughing in their cars and refusing to wear face masks when asked to do so.
It says not having it as a legal requirement is causing many difficulties for those in the sector.
