The Teachers’ Union of Ireland believes the Leaving Cert can go ahead this year.
The class of 2021 has missed around 40% of the curriculum because of Covid 19.
Schools aren’t expected to return in full until after St Patrick’s Day.
Despite this, Michael Gillespie from the Teachers' Union of Ireland believes the exams can go ahead.
"Certainly at the moment there's a good possibility of a Leaving Cert.
"As we move closer and closer, obviously we'll have to take into account different situations.
"I would still say that a modified and evolved Leaving Cert can take place."
