Teenage Boy From Douglas Raises €1100 For Mercy Hospital By Hosting An Easter Garden Run

A Cork teenage boy who conducted an Easter Garden Run for the Mercy Hospital earlier has managed to raise €1100 so far today

Dressed in his Cork jersey, Peter Burke completed 100 laps of his Douglas home as his family and neighbours cheered him on

Flags decorated his route around the garden as the thirteen-year-old ran 100 laps - the equivalent of a 5km run - in 40 minutes.

Peter, who plays soccer for Douglas Hall, had hoped to raise €50 for the Mercy University Hospital but so far his GoFundMe page has seen over €1100 pledged
