The Digital Covid Cert helpline had more than 34,000 calls yesterday alone.
The phone line has been overwhelmed with the volume of calls over the past few days and has gone down more than once.
Government officials say it's way beyond what they anticipated.
They're urging only people who urgently need a Cert for imminent travel contact the helpline.
