The Taoiseach has confirmed the easing of restrictions underway at the moment will be cut short
Seán Defoe has this report for RedFM News:
'On the day that travel restrictions have been lifted for the first time in months, all eyes are already turning to the next set of restrictions. With the number of new cases rising the government will cut short the easing of restrictions in place over Christmas. Instead of lasting until January 6th, new measures will come into place between the 28th and 30th of December. Chief Medical Officer Dr Tony Holohan says the time period needed to be shortened. Taoiseach Micheál Martin says the new measures will be a Level Three Plus. That means restaurants and pubs that serve food will be closed before the new year. Cabinet Ministers will meet on Tuesday to finalise the plans for an early shut-down of the holidays.'
