The head of the Catholic Church says it's not dangerous to receive holy communion when masses resume

The head of the Catholic Church in Ireland insists it will not be dangerous for people to receive Communion when masses resume later this month.

The Irish Catholic Bishops Conference has issued guidance to churches ahead of their scheduled reopening on June 29th.

Priests wearing face coverings and sanitising their hands before distributing communion are among the measures.

Archbishop of Armagh Eamon Martin says church leaders are working hard to ensure churches will be safe for everyone:
