That's despite the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic

With cancer treatments, surgeries, and childbirth continuing at hospitals across Ireland, the appeal for blood donation has not disappeared.

Clinics are observing social distancing measures and have ramped up cleaning measures in the interest of public safety.

Speaking to RedFM News, Maureen Gill Emerson from the Irish Blood Transfusion Service at St. Finbarr's Hospital is asking people not to contact the service unless they contact you:
