The owner of Clancy's on Princes Street says the new public health regulations are loss making for them

Paul Montgomery has given a commitment keep his premises open during Level 3 but says this week alone he has had to lay off 85 staff members.

Paul Montgomery who owns Clancy's bar on Princes Street says they will only remain open during the tighter restrictions only to keep some life on the street and give people hope in the city.

Under the new regulations bars, restaurants and cafes are just open for takeaway and delivery and for outdoor dining of up to 15 people.

Clancy's have had to lay off 85 staff this week as a result of the restrictions and Paul Montgomery says he will be reviewing keeping the business open week by week during the tighter restrictions.

Speaking to RedFM News Paul says as a commitment to Princes Street he is keeping Clancy's open at the moment.
