Health Minister Stephen Donnelly is describing the situation as precarious

But Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has warned it comes at a worrying time:
'The situation is precarious. So, the R number for last week was calculated somewhere between 0.9 and 1. The latest we have from Professor Nolan as of today is an R number of between 1.1 and 1.3.'
