The aviation industry has suffered due to Covid-19 restrictions
Micheál Martin was speaking in the city today after the government announced the country's greenlist would include just Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Liechtenstein.
Passenger numbers at the airport have fallen by 95% since the pandemic took hold. Ryanair have also threatened to close their base at Cork and Shannon Airports unless the greenlist is expanded.
