Third Level Institutions Urged To Give Clear Start Dates For 2020/2021 Academic Year

The Government has announced a 168 million euro package

It's to help colleges and universities with remote learning, due to Covid-19.

Over 10,000 students will be given money to buy laptops, tablets, and internet dongles to study from home.

The funding will also cover health protection measures for students and staff to make sure they can return to campus safely.

Earlier this week, University College Cork confirmed that their 2020/2021 academic year is still due to begin on September 28th, despite the news that this year's Leaving Certificate results will not be published until September 7th.
