It's as Level 5 restrictions are lifted
Retail Ireland is expecting 1.2 billion euro to be spent in the sector in December, slightly down on last year.

'Outside Clontarf Florists in Dublin, the Christmas trees are lined up and ready to go on sale tomorrow. Mary is among many business owners putting the finishing touches to their re-opening plans as Level 5 is lifted at midnight tonight. But just down the road, Mark Grainger from the Pebble Beach pub will have to keep his doors shut - because of new requirements meaning pubs serving food need an on-site kitchen and chef. Retail Ireland is expecting each household to spend around 700 euro this Christmas - slightly down on last year. Government official Elizabeth Canavan says people need to be vigilant as the country re-opens. The government's urging people to follow the public health advice to keep the coronavirus numbers low during the festive season.'
