Three new cases of Coronavirus have been confirmed in Ireland today.
This brings the total number of COVID-19 cases in the Republic to 24.
It is understood that the three new cases in the country have all been contracted through community transmission.
Two of the new cases are females in the south of the country with both having close contact with an already confirmed case. One of these females is a healthcare worker.
The third new case is a female in the west of the country and once again, she had close contact with a confirmed case.
This news comes after all St Patrick's Day Parades in the country have been called off in a bid to control mass gatherings.
