Here in Cork, city traders say they've had to adapt to survive.

Reduced footfall, social distancing and reduced indoor capacity are just some of the obstacles traders have faced upon reopening.

Some traders have closed their doors for good while others have enhanced their online offering, and reopened with sales in a bid to maintain their business.

Speaking to RedFM News Sheena McCarthy of Sheena's Boutique on Oliver Plunkett St says while browsing in store has reduced their online offering has compensated for that:

Eddie Mullins of Fitzgerald's Menswear says there's been a notable increase in footfall in recent weeks and he noticed a new confidence in those returning to the city after lockdown
