Thousands of children are returning to school after a change to contact tracing rules.

The Chief Medical Officer says from today contact tracing of close contacts in primary schools and creches won't be needed.

Children aged 12 or under who are close contacts and are asymptomatic won't have to restrict their movements.

Younger people are less likely to get vaccinated against Covid 19 than the rest of the population.

A new Ipsos MRBI survey for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association shows vaccine hesitancy is at 13% among 18 to 34 year olds.

8%  of them say they would refuse a jab and 5% are unsure.

House prices have climbed 9 per cent higher across the country compared to the same time last year.

New reports from Myhome.ie and Daft.ie show inflation is down from 13 percent recorded in the second quarter.

According to Myhome.ie, the average house price nationally is now €308,000 euro, while the Daft.ie report has it at €288,000.
