5% of Irish people say they won't get a Covid-19 vaccine.
New Ipsos MRBI research for the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association shows vaccine hesitancy among 18-34 year olds has dropped from 32% 10 months ago to just 8% now.
Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association spokesperson, Bernard Mallee says the safety of vaccines is increasing confidence in them.
"We know that strict safety protocols are key when testing vaccines during trials and in the community.
"I think these safety protocols combined with evidence of the effectiveness of these vaccines in fighting Covid-19 is really boosting public confidence and that's why we had a huge take up in terms of vaccination for the disease in this country."
