Varadkar says strong recovery in 2021 now unlikely to happen as COVID19 cases continue to mount globally

The increasing number of coronavirus cases globally will have a significant impact on the Irish economy, according to the Tanaiste.

Leo Varadkar says a strong recovery that was expected next year is now unlikely to happen.

He says the situation is likely to be a lot worse than forecast when the government was formed.
