VFI Says Calls To Allow Pubs To Prove They Can Adhere To Covid Guidelines Have Fallen On Deaf Ears

Pubs were originally due to reopen on July 20th

However the date was pushed back to August 10th and again to the 31st of August following concerns about social distancing.

The National Public Health Emergency Team have now recommended a further delay which could mean pubs will be closed for over 6 months.

Publicans say there's a very real threat that many pubs will be forced to close unless the government follows through with its promise of a financial package.
