Joan Lucey's comments come after some backlash on the policy on social media
Joan Lucey says she feels she has an obligation to her staff and customers to keep them safe and is very surprised by the reaction of some people on social media to the requirement
Vibes and Scribes Bookshop on Lavitt’s Quay only reopened yesterday after being closed for the last three months and asked its customers to wear a mask while in the store.
Customers were asked to wear their own masks or to pick up a mask made available in store with donations going toward supporting the Sexual Violence Centre in Cork.
Shop owner Joan Lucey says she was shocked that a group of people hit out at the move online and urged people not to support her store
Speaking to RedFM News Joan says she won't be changing the policy and hopes that it will help make people more comfortable to come in and shop at her store
